Alexis Rivera, Director of Creative Operations
This week’s employee spotlight is on our Director of Creative Operations, Alexis Rivera.
1. WHAT’S YOUR ROLE AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH HIPB2B?
My current role is Director of Creative Operations. I’ve been here about 8 years. I manage all aspects of creative tasks that take place for both clients and HIPB2B. I also dabble in our IT Security as well as hardware maintenance. It’s a multi-hat-wearing workplace.
2. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT WORKING AT HIPB2B?
I enjoy all the people/employees that have helped keep things moving and succeeding in the right direction as well as the outside relationships that have been formed. The flexibility and strong notion of family first are also a great addition.
3. WHAT’S ONE THING YOU’VE LEARNED FROM WORKING AT HIPB2B?
I’ve really been able to keep my coding/design skills up to par as the years have gone by. We try to take advantage of all the best/new options available to do our jobs and keep us one step ahead.
4. WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING WHEN YOU AREN’T WORKING?
I’m low-key. I enjoy the time I spend with my daughter as well as the occasional video game. Family is always important and making sure to spend time with them is always a plus.
5. WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU’RE MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN A POST-COVID WORLD?
Just being social and going out. Online is great but human interaction is better (sometimes.)
6. TOP 5 DESERT ISLAND BOOKS/MOVIES/TV SHOWS/PODCASTS ETC.
Some survival books, Jurassic Park, Westworld, comic books. I like sci-fi and comedies. I don’t really know though… there are many.
7. WHAT IS SOMETHING PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I watch wrestling.
8. WHAT IS ONE ACCOMPLISHMENT IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU’RE PROUD OF?
My daughter. She keeps me focused and in the right direction for life.
9. WHAT’S YOUR HIDDEN TALENT?
I don’t think it’s really hidden but I’m a good drawer/painter.
10. IF YOU COULD LEARN TO DO ANYTHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Carpentry, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing. All the good trades.
11. PC OR MAC? IPHONE OR ANDROID?
I enjoy all technology. I would have it all if I could but my overall preference is Apple.
12. WHAT’S ONE PROJECT YOU’RE WORKING ON, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY?
New house… tons of upcoming projects.
13. WHAT’S ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
The Wild West, South America, Australia, Japan.
14. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU WOULD BUY IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY?
Pay off my house and family debts and then a Singer 1989-1994 Porsche 911.
